Clifton Park Highway Supervisor throws former Councilwomen & former employee under the bus

Clifton Park Town Hall continues to rid the bad apples whose mission is to disrupt town operations.

Highway Superintendent Dahn Bull is crying foul, that Town Supervisor Phil Barrett is working with a highway employee to get rid of him, just like the individuals who tried to get rid of Barrett. Bull is up for re-election this year.

Bull is referring to former Councilwomen Amy Standaert and Amy Flood, who resigned, along with Matthew Andrus, the town’s former information specialist, who also resigned.

Remove the drama and smoke surrounding this issue, and look at the facts. Why would an employee get involved with elected officials ? It just so happens Andrus worked in close proximity to Phil Barrett. Easy for him to monitor Barrett’s every move, looking for an opportunity to pounce.

Highway Superintendent Dahn Bull chooses to save his own neck and disown the friendly relationship he had with Standaert, Flood, and Andrus. Its no secret Amy Standaert and Matthew Andrus hung out a lot with Dahn Bull, says a source who wishes to remain anonymous. Now the shoe is on the other foot and he (Bull) does not like it.

Bull admits his former allies had a plan to get rid of Phil Barrett, hoping he will gain sympathy and get re-elected to highway superintendent by accusing Barrett of trying to get rid of him. Bull accused Barrett publicly for following in the foot steps of Standaert, Flood, and Andrus.

Bull was put on the carpet recently for not issuing permits for companies wanting to bring in internet services. Clifton Park residents have been asking for another option besides Spectrum for years. Instead of doing his job, he chose the excuse; he put them on hold due to alleged damage done to a resident’s property. Does the highway department stop plowing when they damage resident’s mailboxes or property ?

There is no room in any town hall for drama. Reports released by the town leaves no doubt Bull was a major player in causing disharmony and distractions in town hall.
